Zonta membership is by invitation. Members should be willing to support and implement the objects
of Zonta International
through the commitiment of time, resources, finances and the passion to advance
the status of women.
Eligibility and Classification
Membership is open to those in decision making positions in a recognized business or profession working
at least
50 percent of a normal workweek. Member classification is based upon occumpations and the Zonta
classification system.
Membership Responsibility
As a member, it is your responsibility to:
Regularly attend club and relevant committee meetings
Pay all dues and fees promptly
Identify and recommend prospective members
Attend area, district and international meetings, workshops, conferences and conventions as time
and resources allow
Membership Responsibility
The membership process is straightforward. First, you must attend three functions. Second, you and your
sponsor fill out the membership application that goes to the membership chairman. The membership committee
determines your eligibility and forwards your application for review and approval at the next monthly business
meeting. Third, the application information is posted for one month in the club's newsletter and club members
consider your nomination for membership. Finally, you will be mailed a letter inviting your to join our club.
